Well, time to go.
31 March 2011 - 12:03 AM
Sorry guys, but I feel I need to be hitting the old dusty trail. I've loved this place for so long, and I hate to see myself go but... I just don't feel right here anymore, it's hard to explain. :\ I don't want to lose contact with any of you though, so please, keep in touch with me via MSN and Facebook as much as possible, I'll do the same. See you around!

I think this is might be a somewhat ineffective advertising campaign...

...
For those of you that haven't seen Black Swan, the last thing you want want to do is learn to do ballet after watching it. Why they would cross-campaign is beyond me. It'd be like Jaws Open-Water Swimming Lessons or Blair Witch Camping. -

Even without translating it, I know it's not intended for English speakers. I don't need to be all "WTF? CHING CHONG?!" about it.
It's like a post of those UCLA girls.

Garfunkel and Oates
19 March 2011 - 03:17 AM
Simon Garkunkel and John Oates have teamed up to form a folk collaboration unlike any other...
...And if you believed that, shame on you.
This duo has been a favorite of mine for a few months now, but I just got their new album (which is mostly re-recordings of older songs, but still great) and felt I had to make a topic, for those that already love them and to initiate those that have never heard of them. Basically, they're two female comedians (you might recognize Kate from the Fox sitcom Raising Hope, and Riki as the female psychopath in the Last House on the Left remake... let that soak in) who write sort of folkish, indie songs, almost all of which are comedic, though some are actually on the more serious side, but still sound great. They've got quite a collection of music videos to accompany their songs on Youtube, so you might have already seen/heard some. Most of their songs are actually available to listen to on their website, even more have videos on their youtube, some are free to download, but if you end up liking them, the album and EP are relatively cheap and you guise should support them.
Here's a taste:
I suspect this one being really liked here at TKK:
One of my favorites in their typical style:
Here's their site. http://www.garfunkelandoates.com
You guise should really like them.
