I see very little activity on this forum

No kidding. It's quite depressing really.

Hasn't the site been through massive periods of inactivity before, though?

I don't think it's been like this though. Even I haven't visited for about a month.

...oh, we're actually being serious here. Okay.

I don't know, TKK usually has its rough patches, but I don't know if it's ever gotten THIS bad. The only time that comes to mind was right before Becky and Tristan picked things up, when TKK's activity had actually flatlined at that point to where it was just bots getting through to post. Right now we have about an average of 2-4 people logging in each day, but I just don't remember if, besides that time, it ever got to this point where there's virtually no activity whatsoever. Surely someone with a better memory can correct me if I'm wrong (and chances are good that I am)...?

I'm gonna come out and say it, because I think that false hope in this situation isn't a good thing.

TKK hasn't been this dead since I joined. I feel comfortable (yet very sad) in saying that I think this is likely the end for TKK. Or at least, come next Spring it will be. I don't see Becky renewing the hosting or whatever again and I don't think that many of us would want to chip in for the ability to pop in here once a month and see seven new posts, most of them asking what's going on with TKK or spam.

There's been a steady decline in activity since last October, when Becky and Tristan broke up, and while it picked up again for a while, when we got the staff changes done, once Becky went into full pregnancy mode, she wasn't able to be active, and most of the rest of us just kinda followed suit.

There's been talk of revamping TKK, or even remaking the place, and if there's a dedicated group of people behind it, I'd definitely like to help if I can. This place is like a second home to me, and I miss it greatly already... but I'm starting to see the point a lot of others have made... do we really need a forum to keep up with the friends we've made here? I interact with most of the regulars from TKK through facebook and ims FAR more than I ever did through TKK. The way Facebook is set up, there's many aspects of forum culture there. You share something, people comment on it. Lulz are had, and we move on to the enxt piece... (except that image of Cameron's Dueling days...that'll get revisited for years to come.)

There's also been talk of an entirely new place, devoid of TKK's current theme and drive. An Art Community has been brought up by a few people, and anyone would certainly be welcome there, regardless of aptitude or interest in art. I'd love to get behind a project like that, myself. I'd find the time somehow.

TL;DR- basically, yeah.

It's very sad to see this place like this. This is TKK's lowest point ever, I can guarantee that.

What's funny though, is that I was thinking about TKK earlier today and how much I miss posting here with you guys. It's a damn shame though.

Hey, who knows? Maybe we'll all get nostalgic and miss each other and get this place rolling again, though, we DO need to put forth effort in getting new meatbags in this place. It's starting to smell of old beef in here. D:

In all seriousness, though, I agree. I think the most important thing to consider here is that we all pretty much have lives now (surprisingly) and we've grown up a bit. Collectively, we've gotten to the point where we just don't have time for TKK anymore. And as true (and understandable) as it is, it's still a little sad.
