C'mon, we all have them? What are a few of yours? I'll go first.

I have this pretty bad habit in real life where I'll ask someone if they know what something or some concept is, but then if they yes I go ahead and explain it anyways. I'll give you an example:

Me: Hey dude, you know what double humbucker pickups are right?

Other Dude: Sure.

Me: Yeah, you know! When they just take a single coil and stack it onto another? Well anyways I saw some really cheap ones in...

-___-

And I do that shit ALL THE TIME. I always try to apologize when I do it, but I think its a habit garnered from hanging out with Ashura a little too much, because he does the same thing to a milder extent, and also hanging with my buddy Shaun. He's a good guy, but he's pretty clueless sometimes. So even if he says he knows what something is, he really wont and I end up explaining it later.

Another thing that I do is clean my ears WAAY too much. And I shove he cue-tip in way too far. I scrape my ear drum because it feels so good :icame:

Anyone else? Or am I the only freak here?

I don't know if it's annoying or not, but I have to be a certain distance from a step before I can actually step onto it. And if it's not the perfect distance away, I'll take itty bitty steps until I'm there.

I do the same with my ears. :icame: Though in my defense, I seem to accumulate an inhuman amount of earwax.

I have a TON of little micro OCD habits, like making sure my steps are even numbered, if not exactly on a multiple of 10... making sure the number of times I touch something is even, etc.

Oh, I crack my knuckles. A LOT. I do it randomly when I'm bored, and if I'm in an awkward social situation where I don't know people or anything, the two things I do most are crack my knuckles and absently check my phone every ten seconds or so.

Annnnnnd, I talk to myself. I find myself alone frequently enough that I just decide to think aloud and more often than not, it somehow morphs into me having a conversation with some unnamed being.

Also, when people are talking to me, I sometimes start singing/humming. And it pisses a lot of people off I've noticed T_T

Its not my fault. Its just that there is music always playing in my head 100% of the time. I do it so often when I'm alone I honestly don't notice anymore. But I've had a few people get really mad at me for thinking that I was being rude. I'm listening to them, I just happen to hum while doing so :/

This. While driving, sometimes I'll have full length, 40 minute conversations with someone I think is in the passenger seat. This happens a lot with my ex, my old band director, this girl in Texas I've never met (Not you, Mew, sorry. :( ), and a few others. It's starting to happen around the house now, especially when drawing. I just want to share my art with someone, and most of the time, my feelings. The in house ones can last up to an hour. :(

An annoying habit of mine? Sometimes I talk at you, instead of to you. If we're on an instant message system of some sort, and I can stand talking to you, I can get to points where I'm just rambling. Asking question after question, with detailed explanations, anything.

I'm sure there's more. I'll think about them through the day and see what I cam find.

Thinking about it, I guess one of my annoying habits is not looking at people when they're talking to me. Usually I will, but sometimes I'll be looking at something in a store or people watching while they're talking. I honestly hear every word being said to me, I just look at other things.

I do that a little bit too, Mew, but I've come to the conclusion you can talk about something, and think about something else at the same time. I realized the potential of this while driving. I was talking out loud, (to the imaginary person in my passenger seat), and started reading something on the back of a car at the same time.

I have so many :grumpy:

I chew the skin off the inside of my mouth.
I pop my knuckles too.
I scratch the inside of my ears with my pinky all the time and it looks weird
If I hear someone slightly wrong and I don't understand what they say immediately I ask them to repeat what they said, and then I figure out what they said halfway into the first word of asking them what they said.
I reload too much in fps
I cannot start playing a series with the second or farther game.
If I miss an episode of a series I stop watching it
I'm physically clingy with my girlfriends :foreveralone:
I forget to text people back soooo much
Etc.
If everything was possible,it would be impossible for something to be impossible.

Ugh, I do that too, mew.

More specifically, I can't look someone in the eye for more than about 5 seconds, tops. A lot of people say that sort of behavior only happens when you've got something to hide or you're lying, but I honestly find it uncomfortable to stare at someone's eyes for more than a few seconds.

Especially if it's a person of authority or something. I must make such a bad impression on people. XD

I think it comes off more as "I'm shy" or "I'm scared/intimidated of you" or "I'm a coward". I used to look up body language a lot because it's really interesting. :P Also it can come off as, "I'm not interested". Yours sounds more like the second one.

I mean, I try to. XD Even if I have to look away for a brief second, I can usually come back and look them in the eye for a few more seconds... but I just get this really awkward feeling.

I hate it because it's not that I'm not interested, I'm just a really awkward person.

I feel that staring I to someone's eyes is awkward, and deservedly so. Staring into someone's eyes might give a wrong impression, especially when it's casual, interpersonal friends. Many time's, especially around school with students, I try not to look into their eyes the whole time. I'll take glances, but that's about it. If I stare, it could come across as being too interested, borderline stalkerish creepy.

^This, I'm so forgetful. :(

I also have this tendency to pick at my food. Like really pick at it. I waste a good amount of time at meals just pushing my food around the plate with my fork, and people do get annoyed by it apparently. :(
Also, I whine too much.
Also also, I start things and most of the time I end up not finishing them. (see: most of my drawings.)

There's more, I know I'm more annoying than that. :P I'll think of them later.

Lets see.... I have this thing where I'll drink something out of a cup, no less than like 30 mins ago, but I'll go and get another cup anyways, and sit it RIGHT NEXT to the cup I was just drinking out of, I end up having all the cups pile up at the computer desk and it pisses my mom and my brother off. I cant get dressed in the bathroom after I shower, I MUST get dressed in my room or somewhere else in the house, I don't know, I just cant do it. I'm also always picking at my hair with my fingers, or twisting it, and people always look at me strange.

Not really, they called him Sir Shorty for a reason.

I tend to tell people about the same things over and over. My memory isn't the greatest, so I'll tell them about something (A video or song or whatever) one day, and come back the next day with the same information. It annoys me to no end, but I don't know much of what I can do about it.

Hmm... Well a bad personal habit, I bite my nails. Have for years, can't really quit even though I know it's gross. I've never been able to stop it for more than a month at a time.

I talk to myself a lot, but not like... conversations with myself. When I'm trying to get something done or whatever, I'll talk to myself about getting it done. It's like a mental checklist except out loud.

I say sorry a lot, even when I don't need to. Like if I'm standing perfectly still and someone runs right into me, I'll tell them sorry.

I'm not sure if this counts as a bad habit, but I'm really uncomfortable with calling most adults by their first name. As I was growing up, that was a HORRIBLE offense, haha. But now even as an adult I find it hard to address other (older, obviously) adults by first name, even when they request I do so. It's just weird to me, so a lot of times I'll avoid addressing them by anything at all whenever possible.

I say ouch a lot for no reason. I could drop something really light on my foot, or bump my hand lightly on a table or something, and it wouldn't hurt at all but I would say "ouch" anyway. I have no idea why I do this. It annoys me every time I do it.

Funny. Most people think that when you dont look into their eyes it comes off as shady. Unless you're in Japan. then it comes off as respectful to not look into a superior's eyes.

Silly Japan.

I stare everywhere but the eye. Once, I was staring at this girl's necklace and she thought I was looking at her boobs, and every time she wears it I have to stare at it. It's like a little chest and I'm curious about it.
