Have you ever heard of it? There's a show on TLC, I think, that features Extreme Couponers and how they do it. Basically what happens is that the Couponers will spend time cutting out coupons, printing them from their computer, organizing it, and finally purchasing with them. These people usually pull in with hundreds of dollars worth in groceries and what have you, but only end up paying about $20 or so out of their pocket.

Tonight I was at Target, and I actually saw this in action. There was a woman in front of me, and she was what couponers call, "Stock piling" which is where if an item goes on sale, they get a lot of it and have additional coupons for those items. This saves money in the long run since they won't have to purchase the items for a while. She had two transactions going. The first one she racked up about $55. Then she had her coupons out, and that came out to about $18. She then saved an extra buck by using her Target card. Then the second transaction comes through. She's pulling $77, uses her coupons and gets it down to $13. Me and the cashier had a nice talk about it after she had left. My dad and I were both pretty much like, Posted Image when all was said and done. It's now my family duty to become the extreme couponer.

So, what do you guys think? Would would do extreme couponing?

Sorry, I just read the title, not your post x_x

I've heard of this show. Never seen it. It sounds cool as shit, getting $2,000 worth of stuff and paying a few pennies. But I would never ever have the time to do any of that. Otherwise hell yeah I'd do it : D
Haiku's can be fun.
But sometimes they don't make sense.

When I hit college next year, I'll probably be doing that. Should probably watch the show to learn a few things >.<
I feel like if it really catches on and a lot of people do it, though, they won't be profitable for the stores anymore, so that stores will be like "Oh, shit, no more coupons for you guys"
If everything was possible,it would be impossible for something to be impossible.

People generally don't take it to the extremes the people on the show do. I watched a couple episodes tonight and basically every woman on there said, "This is going to be my biggest shopping experience ever." Also, they're kind of crazy and have supermarkets in their houses where there's multiples of everything they ever need. I feel like in moderation it'd be amazing. :)

I saw an episode tonight where this guy was donating the food he got to charity...

he got like $835 worth of stuff... and after the items were rung up, partway through the coupons the register hit its limit of items scanned at 1000. The store manager had to go in and increase the limit, something he didn't even know if he could do or not. XD

HE GOT IT FOR ABSOLUTELY FREE. :wth:
