Heck, the group that formed the Seventh-Day Adventist Church had the math figured down to a tee and thought Jesus was returning on October 22nd, 1844.(I think it was the 22nd) Tons of people sat out in the countryside waiting for him to show up and apparently nothing happened.
From a personal standpoint, speaking in terms of faith and religion, I believe that no one would be able to determine that, no one is going to be able to do some ancient bible math and figure out that the Advent of Christ/The Rapture/Insert your religions end of days event here is going to be on any specific day.
But sure as hell, I believe that the things prophesied to happen near the end seem to be beginning to happen. The world is going haywire, and it seems like there's another record-breaking natural disaster every few months, and politically, the world's falling to shit.
If this guy turns out to be right, I think a majority of the world is screwed. I'm not worrying about it, though, because if he is, I won't exactly be around to complain about it.

I just kind of think how the Seventh Day Adventists came around, smile, and think to myself, "Apparently one Great Disappointment" wasn't enough for the world.

I lol'd.

You forget these people thrive on disappointing people. Even on disappointing themselves.

When I put my Looting Shovel down, come Sunday, I'm gonna have to seriously fight the urge to walk around downtown with a sign on my chest saying "Herp Derp we're still here" and "Better luck next time!" on my back.

I lol'd.

The show is called "Rapture" and the promotional image is a print someone did of people floating up into the sky.
I am so excited.

This too. My class starts on Tuesday, so clearly we'll be around then.
Also, THE LAST HARRY POTTER MOVIE ISN'T OUT YET.
How could the world end before that?
