... I am addicted to this right now.

Seriously, has anyone ever played any incarnation of this series? It's wonderful to play. I restarted about three weeks ago, when I allowed a friend to see what it was. She made a character and we had fun with it. I soon made one for myself, and another friend who frequently does stuff with us. I only see them on the weekends, so I end up playing as all three characters. I am having such a blast. The simplicity of just going through life (much like the sims, with less responsibility)... it's awesome. I don't know if anyone cares about the status of my town and characters, but I'm gonna put it in here anyways.

Playable Characters:
Sinclair (Julie - 1st character)
Eyolf (Myself - 2nd character)
Stardust (Jamie - 3rd character)
No 4th person yet. I kinda want one more though...

Current Town Status: Good condition according to the Wishing Well. Currently have Nookway as the shop. Town fruit is pears, but I now have at least one of every kind of fruit in the village. Sable (who is normally shy) is talking to all three characters.

Museum Status:
3 of 15 Paintings obtained
22 of 25 Fossils obtained
23 of 40 Fish obtained (Including the rare COELACANTH)
8 of 40 Bugs obtained

Town Characters:
Tom (Cat)
Olivia (Cat)
Purrl (Cat)
Rolf (Tiger)
Tybalt (Tiger)
Otis (Bird)
Lily (Frog)
Tutu (Bear)
Pate (Duck)
Velma (Goat)
Peaches (Horse)
Alfonso (Alligator)
Daisy (Dog)
Dotty (Rabbit)
Pierce (Eagle)
O'Hare (Rabbit - Island Character)
Truffles (Pig - Moved out)

Debt to Nook
Sinclair - 350,000 Bells
Eyolf - 398,000 Bells
Stardust - 398,000 Bells

Other stuff
Tybalt and Rolf are secretly gay for each other. Tybalt's open about it, but Rolf is in the closet. You can tell he's gay because he uses a DAINTY parasol for an umbrella.

Olivia, Purrl, and Velma are the bitches in the town, with Velma and Olivia being the worst. Velma even accused me of calling one of the characters a "Lazy bum". I actually did not long before she said that, so it was quite scary that she knew...

Truffles was there, and moved out randomly, and was replaced by Dotty.

Lily and Otis, who live in the same acre, are an item.

Pierce is also gay, and very... very fierce. His entire furniture set is the Regal set... and he may keep something... naughty in his wardrobe.

I actually got clothing from Gracie the fashion designer by using the pen button mashing trick.

That's all I really have to say. I may post more about the town later when stuff happens. If you are playing, or have played this game, share some of your own experiences! I'd love to hear them. And it's also fun to make up stuff about the characters, because obviously none of the stuff I said about them is true. XD Or is it?

I used to love these games. Seriously. When I was younger and still had a Gamecube I would rent Animal Crossing from Blockbuster week after week until my brother had the brilliant idea that I should buy it. Which I did. (Don't tell anyone, but I kept the game because you can play Gamecube games on the Wii. I just haven't relocated my Gamecube controller yet.) I have the DS game somewhere, and I've been meaning to get the one for the Wii. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe I'll start over my DS game and start playing again. It was the most simple and fun game I've ever played.

:3 That is awesome, Mew! I haven't played the DS or the Wii version yet, but right now I'm too happy with the original gamecube version. I'm looking for Crazy Redd right now, though I don't remember what time he appears. >.<

It's like, once a month, I think? Or every few months. I can't remember either. I usually just ran into him randomly.

I already knew he was coming, but he didn't appear until after 6 PM... And he didn't have any paintings.

THAT IS WHY I WANTED TO SEE HIM! :chocolate:

Other than that, I didn't get much done today in my town. I still want a fourth though...

This was one of my favorite games to play on Gamecube. I played the hell out of it. I even went as far as buying a 2nd memory card to have TWO towns to have completely new characters. On the first town, I named it Balamb after the main Garden in FFVIII and my 2nd town was named Baseline after a basketball sim I was in. My cousins were characters in Balamb and they actually played it quite a bit where I didn't have to play as them. It got to the point where I was so addicted to the game, I went onto eBay and bought a memory card with every item in the game and 999,999,999 bells...the character's name was Deeds after the Adam Sandler movie. XD

I was able to pay off the debt on my own as was one of my cousins but the other two went to Deeds and got the money to pay off theirs. I have all the NES games in my basement on my main town in Balamb (my character's name is Shorty, go figure, lol). With you talking about the game, I kind of want to find my gamecube and the game and go revisit all three of my towns and give you break downs of them all....I just might.

DO IT SHORTY!!!!!! I'm still gonna update you all on my town (which is Camelot by the way) every so often. I might wait about a week every time before updating, so I actually have some material to talk about. All that's happened today is I changed the town tune to the Final Fantasy overture, paid off some of the debts for Sinclair and Eyolf, and got NOTHING at Crazy Redd's cuz he's an idiot who doesn't bring paintings often enough.

After the Grizzlies/Thunder game, I'll get my stuff hooked up and see what I can find and post it here. Not sure if I'll start playing again, if I do, I may delete a town and start over. If I get sucked back into this game, I'm gonna kill you Emmy, hah hah.

Camelot Update!!!!

Sinclair, Eyolf, and Stardust all have the largest house available, but have yet to pay off the 798,000 debts they have.

Sinclair's house is decorated with the exotic set on the first floor, and the lunar set on the top floor, and has a blue roof.
Eyolf's house is decorated with the green set on the first floor, and the blue set on the top floor, and has a pale green roof.
Stardust's house is decorate with the spooky set on the first floor, and the cabana set on the top floor, and has a black roof.

Nook's shop is still Nookway, but it will not last much longer once I start the debt payments.

Sahara has visited three times, Wendell has visited twice, Gracie has visited twice, and Katrina and Crazy Redd have both visited once.

All fruits are now amongst the town. The Wishing Well actually approves of the town, but it's not at a perfect rating.

Only 3 fossils remain to be obtained in the museum.

THE COELACANTH HAS BEEN CAUGHT! There's about half the fish caught in the museum now.
Very few bugs have been caught.

Only one more painting has been obtained, because Crazy Redd sucks and didn't have one when he came.

For some reason, firece Pierce moved out, and he was replaced with Ribbot... A freakin' robot frog! I do not trust him.
Velma and Olivia are still bitchy, and Tybalt is still in love with Rolf.

Oh, and I've been using the Universal Codes to obtain the themed items for the houses. I'm almost done with them, unless I decide to switch it up.

That's pretty much it for now. I need to get on Saturday nights and visit K.K.

Smaller update. I wanted a 4th character, so now I have Lorelei. She's already on her way to the 2nd upgrade.

And lol Shorty. It seems you said that quite a bit. Did you do it yet?

Edit with an update on my town!

Ribbot moved out, and a pink ninja bunny named Snake moved in. So much better than a frog robot.

Sinclair's debt is officially paid off. She's getting the statue tomorrow. The other's debts are slowly being paid off. Eyolf has about 3 payments left, Stardust has about 5, and Lorelei has about 8. (That's out of 80-90,000 Bells each payment.)

I gave up on the fossils, and got the last three I needed with codes.

Stardust got over 100,000 points for the HRA.

I found out how to write letters for the animals and they are responding well to them. It helps to send a gift as well (mostly clothes).

I'm gonna take the game on vacation with me and play it at least at night so I can continue to do stuff. :D
