Alrighty, so I recently acquired +1 Girl friend! Yeah! Go me!

Anyway, so she's kind of into cosplay, and I thought, why the hell not. So, being my current and still obsession, Scott Pilgrim, I decided that it would be a good idea. (And because she cosplays Ramona, so... )

LOOK

It was pretty cool! People actually asked to take our pictures with them. (See above), and it was more than just them. It surprised me that people wanted me in the pictures, I figured it would just be hers. Mine kind of sucked, I didn't have wristbands. >.>

We did it at an ANAMANAGUCHI concert, (Who scored the SP video game), and because of our chanting combined of "SCOTT PIL-GRIM," (Even thought they said they don't normally play SP music), they played some as part of their encore.

So now I'm into cosplay. Does anyone else here cosplay? Anything to show off? Favorite cosplay pictures?

I've always wanted to, but because I'm a rather large dude, I've found it a bit harder to find something.

I've considered trying Snorlax, the Heavy from TF2, and Frigimon, though. XD

also, I'm making a set of pokemon gym badges, so I could always go as a random pokemon trainer.

Oh my goodness! She looks almost exactly like Ramona! Y'all are cute!


I used to want to cosplay really badly, but I had a big falling out with a girl who's insane about cosplay and it kind of ruined it for me. I did go as Edward Elric for Halloween in the eighth grade. I still have the costume. It was pretty good.

Metrocon? sadly, I've never really looked into going to any conventions. the only ones in my area are the ones I only hear about after they've come and gone. XD

EDIT- sweet Lord, it's next month and max Brooks will be there!

Yeah, I'll more than likely go. I'll probably work on my Scott and be there with Ramona. She lives over there, so I'll come from Orlando and then go. Maybe I'll get my gay best friend to go as Wallace. :3 Or Mobile, I think he prefers him.

we messed up a bit towards the end, we had a minute of dead air that was supposed to be used to go back onstage, since the whole thing was supposed to go down in-between the audience members, but hey...we had fun..

I went as Candlejack and my best friend went as Freakazoid. It was so badass, everytime anyone said Candlejack, I'd tie them up. And then he started chasing me all around the con. It was awesome. He go tired though, so he stopped running, no mattter how mu

I'm thinking of doing a male Ramona. It's be the Blue haired hammer Ramona, as a guy. I think it'd be pretty awesome. We'll see.

So the theme for Metrocon is Monsters Vs Hunters...

does that mean that anything else would be terribly out of place? I don't really know how these things work. XD

I'm looking into it right now to see if I'll be able to go. I'm not going to have anything much ready as far as cosplay, but I can certainly wear my badges.

might even print out some "business cards" or something in the off chance someone sees them and decides they want to look into getting some from me.

EDIT- weekend passes are now up to $55, rather than the $35 that they say on the homepage, and you've got to pre-reserve one... I think I'll go with the $30 at the door price for Friday, since I doubt I'll be going Sunday as well.
