Encyclopedia Dramatica is gone. They replaced with a watered down, slightly more aesthetically pleasing site called OhInternet.

Kinda funny how the owners/biggest trolls in the world sold out and now have a site with less swear words and Awful for the sake of Awful humor. Though I'm sure they'd be the first to admit they did it for the money. I never had a problem with encyclopedia dramatica, but a I know a lot of other people did.

Haiku's can be fun.
But sometimes they don't make sense.

I'm sad to see this. Sure, I eventually hated ED when it started throwing a dozen popups at you for every page you visited, and half the stuff on there was just trolls trying too hard, but it provided a nice dose of general madness.

And selling out is never good.

Same. I may not have always liked to be bombarded with pictures of boobs and penises and people having sex, but I enjoyed reading the articles there. Most of them never failed to make me laugh in some way or another and I'll miss that.
I checked out OHI and really, it's not funny at all. It's as if you were reading just unbiased factoids on internet drama. A lot of the substance is missing.

This absolutely sucks. Like others said, the popups were annoying, but I loved reading the articles if only for the sake of a good laugh.

Then that's their problem, not ED's. ED was hardly serious, and it was all about the humour - people need to realize that, and get over it.

Well, I'd hardly call it a noble site or a huge loss or anything. It was pretty much just a bunch of trolls doing what trolls do best: Trying to make everyone else feel as awful as possible. Sure, some things had truth to them, but I can't say I'm really sad to see it go.

I used to really like ED, but it used to be a lot funnier than what it was more recently. I haven't cared for it lately just because it hadn't been very entertaining anymore... so I can't really say I'm sad to see it go either.

Those sentences are a mess. Oh well.
