NO SPOILERS. I don't think using Pokemons' names counts as spoilers, but do not spoil the story for everyone else. Thanks.


So... I totally got chills when watching the introduction movie to the game. I'm soo excited for this storyline.

WELL YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT POKEMON.

I don't think Smugleaf is bad, really... I taught mine Dragon Tail so it would know something not grass type. I definitely like the crocodile's learnset better, but I hate it as a Pokemon...

So to spark some discussion, if you gave your Pokemon a nickname, why did you give it that name?

Oden - I gave him the name Oden to name it after one of my favorite players in the NBA, Greg Oden.
Rash - I couldn't really think of a name when I was wanting to rename it, so I decided on Rash as his original name kind of sounds like it...sort of...
Slash - Named after one of my favorite guitar players, Saul "Slash" Hudson, I gave him the name Slash because it kind of fits just by his looks in my opinion.
Farley - When I was thinking of names to name my Pokemon, I was trying to think of people or things that I really like and I knew I wanted to name one Farley after my all time favorite actor, Chris Farley. I think the name fits Beartic very well.
Ezra - I was trying to think of a name that kind of sounds like a girls name and so I was going through my iPod and found the band "Better than Ezra" and I thought it sounded really cool. So I named it Ezra. Then I looked up the name on Wiki and found out it's a guy's name....oh well. I'm leaving it.
Dunder - Named after one of my favorite shows, The Office. The name of the paper company is Dunder Mifflin (if you don't know this, you're an idiot) and I thought it fit this one...plus I like saying the name....Dunder. It makes me chuckle, hah hah.

Smugleaf - Popular fan nickname for Snivy, I really liked it so I kept it.

Empress - Wanted an "Em" name, decided on "Empress" after Mew, since she WAS going to give me an Emonga but I caught one first. <3

Delilah - Wanted something girly, went with "Delilah" because of it sounding kind of similar to "dile."

Toothless - How to Train Your Dragon. <3

Odette - From The Swan Princess movie. FUCK YOU GUYS I LOVED THAT AS A KID.

Kasai - Japanese for fire, because I couldn't think of a good name.

Finally beat the Elite 4 and the end of the game! It was a LOT easier than I expected. I ended up replacing Krookodile, and it's a good thing I did- Smugleaf was REALLY helpful in the final battles.

I was hoping I got the joke right, and it wasn't something completely off. XD Guess I had it right. <3

I haven't really used my Zekrom much since the endgame. I switched it in for the battle against N and Ghetsis, but pretty much put it in the PC once I got to a town with a Pokemon Center. I don't really use legendaries a whole lot, save for Mew, Lugia, and the occasional romp with Rayquaza... and shiny hunting on Platinum.

This is true. Reshiram seemed pretty "meh" to me, so Black didn't get as much attention... I still don't think I've beaten the E4. XD

If I'd had to pick only one version, it'd be White, because of Zeffron.

Oh, my bad. I was referring to Vulcan.

EDIT- a team named for Greek gods or even just figures from mythology would indeed be awesome. I might consider that for my next run in a game.
