This shall be the place to talk about how you're doing in the games, if you need help, etcetera. No more speculation.

It just got real.

NO SPOILERS. I don't think using Pokemons' names counts as spoilers, but do not spoil the story for everyone else. Thanks.

So... I totally got chills when watching the introduction movie to the game. I'm soo excited for this storyline. :icame:

I got my first badge and now I'm exploring a bit. training up the team a bit before moving on.

also, I got way too excited when I made my trainer card. XD

I found blank card templates online and edited the sprites for the trainer, pokemon and badges in using MS Paint. (Works much better for this than Photoshop, actually)

There are a lot of templates available on various sites, but simply googling "trainer card templates" and looking at the images should get you some good ones.

I use PE2K as a sprite resource.

EDIT- I edited together a spread of the 8 Unova badges, if anyone is interested. They should be lined up wight for the usual format.

Pftt I'm way too lazy to do that again.

And I just found out something neat! (I make a habit of going in every building to get free things and valuable information)

There's a house in Accumula Town where there is a girl at a piano, and a boy at a drumset. Talk to them both and you can change the town's theme song!

Also, if you watch the TVs there's a tv show that teaches you Japanese.

I didn't know about the TV thing. That's kinda awesome.

About to battle Victini as soon as I beat one more trainer... it's only lvl 15, but I have a feeling I'm about to get raped. XD

Training for the 4th gym now.

I gots me a sandile. :icame:

I named him "Bawse" :awesome:

"lihkabawse" actually fit, but I decided I wanted either Bawse or "The Bawse"

This is a first for me, though... I didn't get the strategy guide and I'm not looking anything up online except for movesets, so the game is basically a huge surprise for me. I don't know what pokemon are available where, so I've just built the best team I could with what I've found... Woobat is seriously kinda awesome guise, just sayin.

:ffff:

I keep forgetting (despite the fact that I have one on my team) that Woobat is Psychic/Flying, and not Poison/Flying like Zubat is... is seriously messes up the way I battle them. XD

About Lenora...

I had zero trouble with her. She was easy, in fact. Did you have any fighting type Pokemon, or did you have any that knew any fighting moves? I had a Roggenrola that knew rock smash (level 18 when going up against her) and Timburr (level 14) that knew low kick. Roggenrola got kicked around but Timburr took down Watchdog with a single low kick.

I didn't have trouble with her, really... but Watchog seems to have a high attack stat (my own got a huge bonus when it evolved) and whatever the TM move is that she gives you... it is beastly.

I was trying to train up some of my other pokemon with that battle, and keeping my Pignite in reserve, which I ended up having to use to beat Watchog.

I like Timburr, because they gave me lots of fodder for my Woobat to grind levels on. :icame:

EDIT- I also didn't get a Timburr for my team because I've seen on my Nuzlocke how annoying it can be to have a pure Fighting-type on your team as opposed to a hybrid. Pignite's slow, but he's a beastly BAMF.

Basically the only thing Tmburr is good for is for that specific battle. I kept trying to train it but it kept fainting. It still took down Watchdog with one move though, which was pretty sweet.

From what I've read, it seems worth it to buy. I sorta want to buy a version, but I don't know if I want to at the moment. I'm conflicted over it! D: What do I doooo?

Buy it. It's worth it.

Visually... it's ridiculous compared to past games. I almost creamed my panties when I got to Castelia/Hiun City.

And some of the pokemon are pretty neat, actually.

I may buy it in a week or two. I want to save money for Momocon this weekend!

Some of the pokemon from what I've seen are cool, but it needs to wait until at least next weekend. Or I need to set aside money for it so I don't use it at Momocon.
