Alright, I talked about this a little bit in Becky's thread, but I just watched a video that made me rethink some of what I said.

I was incorrect in saying that Xemnas built the Chamber of Repose beneath Hollow Bastion. The Organization found it there, and Xemnas visited the room often. (What is within the rest of the locked-up, chained-up doors is also a mystery)

I was mentioning how there were Nobody symbols on the walls, and it seems strange that they would be there, in a chamber that predates the Nobodies themselves. Unless, of course, Xemnas and the rest of the Organization put them there.

And what of Aqua's armor? Was it put there by Xemnas, or was it discovered in the Chamber?

Another obvious point to be touched on... Where is the Chamber of Waking? All signs seem to point to Castle Oblivion; Xemnas was almost positive that it was there. Axel returned to the Castle That Never Was reporting that he found no such room, but I'd guess that he's lying. If Ven and/or Ven's armor was in there, I'd make a pretty strong guess that he would have lied about the Chamber's discovery to Xemnas. He seems to care more about himself and his friends than Xemnas, anyway.

And what about the room that Ven is seen unconscious in in the new trailer?



Is this the Chamber of Waking? The room is definitely brighter, the throne seems bigger and is definitely a different shape. The chains remain on the walls, but the symbol is that seen on the clothing of the Keyblade apprentices, not the Nobody symbols.
Either this is the Chamber of Repose before some SERIOUS remodeling by Organization XIII, or this is the Chamber of Waking.

But then... Where is Ven in this FMV?



Is this Castle Oblivion, or is Xemnas wrong about the whereabouts of the Chamber of Waking?
Or is Ven actually running down the hallway before the Chamber of Repose, beneath Hollow Bastion?



At least the wall color is the same. It's possible that Organization XIII remodeled the hallway leading to the Chamber to add in cells of some kind.

Ha ha... When you were looking at that video, I was like, "OMG! VEN RUNS DOWN THAT HALL IN THE TRAILER!!"

It's not THAT similar, when we looked more closely. But that hall looks more similar to where Ven is running than Castle Oblivion does, which is where the KH Wiki says he is. That doesn't make sense- that hallway's nothing like anything in Castle Oblivion.

But the room we see Ven in... That has GOT to be the Chamber of Waking. It's nothing like the room Xemnas is in in KH2FM, other than the chains and the fact that there is a throne in the center.

Perhaps Xemnas is looking for that room because Ven is in it, and he can somehow get to Sora through Ven? Or maybe Terra is there, since we think the Chamber of Waking is in Castle Oblivion, and that's where we see Terra running.

I mean, the fact that Xemnas is addressing Aqua as "old friend," and may be looking for the other "friend," DOES suggest that Terra may be Xehanort... but I just REALLY don't think that's the case.

Anyone notice that the wall Ven is running near looks almost like the field Sora was in, at the start of KH: CoM? I could be wrong, but it looks that way.

Oh, you mean the "pattern" on the wall? I think it's just a special effect making a strange reflection on the wall. There's no set image actually on the wall if you watch the trailer (Except for some kind of... torch-holder or something).

Hahahah, it figures it would just be something lame like a torch.

I'm pretty sure the other rooms in the hallways leading to the Champer of Repose were jail-cell type thingys where Xehanort and the other apprentices stored the Heartless that they tested on, as well as the subjects.

Yeah, I think that's one of the most convincing points that Terra = Xehanort... but now that you said that Terra was running in Castle Oblivion where the Chamber of Waking was, it kind of makes me think otherwise... maybe Aqua and Terra are locked in the Chambers, and Ven is inside Roxas/Sora? That last part is something I had thought as well. It would also make sense, I think.

No one said that Ven couldn't possibly be inside Sora, just that one of Tsukasa's theories FOR Ven being inside Sora didn't make ANY sense.

But if we're going to open that for discussion, we can take it to a new topic.

Regarding what Meggie said about Xemnas calling Aqua's armor "old friend," I'm not sure that necessarily means that Terra=Xehanort.

That scene doesn't have any voice-overs, you can't hear the tone in which he says it. He could be honest, he could be sarcastic, he could sound really evil when he says it. We don't know.

All I'm taking "old friend" as is that he knew Aqua in his past life. Whether it was a good or bad relationship, I have no idea.
