I'm finally sharing a few of my mini-theory/question thingies that I've been thinking. I'd like to read your thoughts on them.

Oh yeah, sorry if I don't make complete sense, I suck at explaining things like this. xD

1. Hand gestures

Both MX and Terra appear to have similar hand gestures to that of Xemnas, Xehanort's Nobody. They both have similar physical features comparable to both Ansem SoD and Xemnas, as discussed many times before. Do you guys think these physical traits and actions are important to Xehanort's true identity? If so, which ones do you think are the most relevant?

2. KH2 FM+ Secret Ending

The Secret Ending may not be the end of the game as most of us assume. The new trailer shows Aqua talking to Master Xehanort (presumably) while holding Ven, who is frozen. She says "The bonds between us cannot be broken!" or something along those lines. Aqua's stubborn words may mean that they will continue fighting against MX... so maybe BbS won't have the bad ending we all think it will?

3. Vanitas

As I've said before, I think MX may be using Vanitas as bait in order to awaken the darkness in Terra's heart. This can explain why he sends Terra to destroy Vanitas. He gives Vanitas a helmet to make it seem like he does not have a true face, and is instead a "beast consumed in darkness", as MX describes Vanitas in one of the trailers. They find out that Vanitas is not a beast after seeing his face, thus enraging TAV.

4. Keyblade Wars

How can we be sure that BbS is the Keyblade Wars? Doesn't MX talk about the Keyblade Wars in one of trailers as if it was part of the past? And, what do you guys think the Keyblade Wars are?


Sorry if you guys have already heard of these theories already, I've just gotten back into Kingdom Hearts speculation after about a year of uninterest so I'm not aware of some of the well-known theories. xD

1. I'd say that Master Xehanort definitely has some similar hand gestures to that of Xemnas, but I haven't really noticed anything similar from Terra... I can't really say much on this matter, other than I really don't believe that Terra is Xehanort...

2. Hmm... I don't think that the game just... ends at that battle, but I'm pretty sure it's the climax. And it's true, we've seen Aqua talking to someone while holding the frozen Ventus, but I'm assuming that it's still the end of the game. The climactic battle will set the stage for the resolution... Just exactly how our three heroes and the two villains disappear.
And what about Mickey, looking onward as Master Xehanort summons Kingdom Hearts, hmm?

3. I think it's pretty clear that Vanitas isn't a... beast, per se, but he has really been shown to be somewhat of a monster of a person. He is almost definitely quite the evil young man. And seeing as how yellow/orange eyes have been tied pretty closely to using the powers of darkness, it's no surprise at all that Vanitas's eyes are yellow.
I DO think that he's being used as bait though. Whether Master Xehanort wants to awaken Terra's darkness with Vanitas, or lure all three heroes into some kind of grand trap with Vanitas at the core, has yet to be seen. Master Xehanort urges the heroes to stop "the one who's unbalancing the worlds," "a man consumed by darkness," and to "destroy Vanitas and correct [his] mistake." But then, of course, we know that at the end of the game, Master Xehanort and Vanitas stand side-by-side and absolutely dominate the three apprentices.

Another good question is... If Master Eraqus is such a powerful Keyblade master, and the three apprentices gather in a place where they know Master Xehanort and Vanitas will be... Why didn't Eraqus help in the battle? Surely he would be a great help in the fight. Is he dead?

4. Yeah, the past few trailers have confirmed that the Keyblade War was quite some time ago. Who knows what it is, there aren't really many clues at all.

If you go to around 2:04 ish, then you can see Terra using similar hand gestures to that of Xemnas. That's one of the examples.

That's another issue I forgot to address... what will Mickey's role in BbS be? A while back, Nomura said in an interview that Mickey's past and how he came to wield the keyblade would be a big part of BbS.

I don't know about the hand motions/gestures thing. I mean, yeah, that does look similar to some of Xemnas' hand motions. But a lot of the characters in the series have overdramatic hand gestures. Granted, Xemnas is pretty much the worst for it- but Terra's gestures in that link didn't seem too over the top.

That's true. Which is kind of weird, since Xemnas is a Nobody and doesn't really feel feelings. o.0

Also, one more time-related question I'll post here since I don't want to start a new thread.

The Ansem Reports say that Xehanort was at Radiant Garden for at least a few years, but Xehanort only appeared after BbS and before he became a Nobody (obviously), which only gives him a year in Radiant Garden as AtW's apprentice. This contradicts with the Secret Ansem Reports. o_0 Is it just a mistake? Or do we have one of the facts wrong?

I don't think it was every truly stated that "Exactly ten years before Kingdom Hearts II, the Organization XIII's founders came into existence as Nobodies.
I think "ten years ago" was more of a general timeframe.

So basically...

Birth by Sleep = Keyblade apprentice adventures. Whee! (Note: Ienzo looks ten, at the oldest)
End of Birth by Sleep = Ansem the Wise discovers Xehanort and nurses him back to health. He describes him as young.
Two or three years later = The apprentices begin working on the darkness experiments. Ansem is overthrown. The apprentices become Heartless and their Nobodies come into existence.
Seven or eight years later = Kingdom Hearts I

Yeah, that sounds about right. I think the directors made a timeline mistake when they had Leon say that the Heartless overtook their world 9 years ago in KH1. They probably forgot they even made him say that or something, because timewise it doesn't make sense.

Either that or Birth by Sleep is a little more than ten years before Kingdom Hearts I.


... But then why aren't Sora and Riku toddlers?!

Well in the new trailer, they look to be about toddlers.

This is all so confusing >_< I can't wait till it comes out so our questions (well most of them, at least) will be solved.

I wouldn't say toddlers. I'd put them at about five. Though, Kairi does look younger than Sora and Riku.

Well, given the time frame, this shouldn't be any more than ten years before Kingdom Hearts. Any more than that and the three Islanders should look a LOT more like infants.

That makes Riku five, and Sora and Kairi four.
