Weird-ass coincidence.
#1 Posted 09 June 2009 - 07:23 AM
So I started it 2 days ago, finished it last night. Just yesterday two girls came over to me while I was waiting to be picked up, saw me reading it and said "Oh, we were watching Carrie earlier today! Isn't that weird?" Yes indeed.
Then today, I go onto the BBC Worldwide Youtube page, and what's the featured video? Carrie: Rescued from the bin. An interview with Stephen King.

On a semi-related note, I've been meaning to read some of his stuff too. I have The Green mile sitting on my bookshelf, where it's been for like a year or two now. I have a list of like 15 books I need to read. -_-

Currently Reading:
THE EYE OF THE WORLD
AKIRA Vol. 1

You should read IT. It's over 1000 pages long, but it's probably the best book I've read, or at least one of them.

I don't think I have Carrie, though.
My favorite Stephen King book has to be The Stand. I love that one.
And I'm too scared to read IT, in all honesty.

And the ending is what got me into all the spacey, psychedelic, cosmic stuff.

Ha ha... Oh, period jokes.
Anywho, I picked up IT and Misery from my mom's old place a few days ago, and I saw Nightmares & Dreamscapes, but I didn't pick it up. My mom used to be REALLY into Stephen King and Dean Koontz, and she's planning on selling a bunch of her old books, so I'm slowly stealing some.
I read IT ages ago, and I'm pretty sure it traumatized me. In a good way.
... Maybe.
Read a few pages of The Stand, and then got distracted by some other books. I'll have to get on that.
