So I got Stephen King's Nightmares and Dreamscapes the other week, but I wanted to read Carrie first because I'd had it here for ages, started reading it 2 years ago then stopped.

So I started it 2 days ago, finished it last night. Just yesterday two girls came over to me while I was waiting to be picked up, saw me reading it and said "Oh, we were watching Carrie earlier today! Isn't that weird?" Yes indeed.

Then today, I go onto the BBC Worldwide Youtube page, and what's the featured video? Carrie: Rescued from the bin. An interview with Stephen King.

I was thinking the same thing. If two girls, especially if at least oen of them is cute, come up to you and start talking...get on that.

On a semi-related note, I've been meaning to read some of his stuff too. I have The Green mile sitting on my bookshelf, where it's been for like a year or two now. I have a list of like 15 books I need to read. -_-

I have nowhere near that amount of confidence.

You should read IT. It's over 1000 pages long, but it's probably the best book I've read, or at least one of them.

I have a bunch of Stephen King books, including Nightmares and Dreamscapes, I believe. I cleared their shelf at half priced books once, and I've barely read any of them. I need to get on that. XD

I don't think I have Carrie, though.

My favorite Stephen King book has to be The Stand. I love that one.

And I'm too scared to read IT, in all honesty.

IT is scary. I used to read it before bed, which made things a bit better because I didn't have to walk TO my bed, and thus be worried about a psychopathic interdimensional monster clown attacking me.

It's very well written, but yeah. There are loads of creepy moments.

And the ending is what got me into all the spacey, psychedelic, cosmic stuff.

Ha ha... Oh, period jokes.

Anywho, I picked up IT and Misery from my mom's old place a few days ago, and I saw Nightmares & Dreamscapes, but I didn't pick it up. My mom used to be REALLY into Stephen King and Dean Koontz, and she's planning on selling a bunch of her old books, so I'm slowly stealing some. :o

I read IT ages ago, and I'm pretty sure it traumatized me. In a good way.

... Maybe.

Read a few pages of The Stand, and then got distracted by some other books. I'll have to get on that.

I want to read Misery. I've seen the movie and I liked it and you know the saying...9 times out of 10, the book is always better than the movie.

I've watched a few Steven King movies, but I don't have concentration to read books unless I'm looking for specific information, plus dyslexic reading so I'll end up reading the story different to everyone else anyways.

To be fair, dyslexia would probably make the major acid trip at the end of IT EVEN MORE AWESOME.
